Ancient Wisdom for
Modern Clarity
Unlock the messages the universe has for you through the timeless art of tarot and oracle card reading.
Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each rich with symbolism, archetypes, and meaning. It is far more than a divination tool — it is a mirror for the soul. A tarot reading illuminates the energies surrounding you, reveals hidden influences, and guides you toward greater clarity on your path.
The deck is divided into two parts: the 22 Major Arcana cards, which represent life's big spiritual lessons and archetypal energies (like The Fool, The Lovers, Death, and The Star), and the 56 Minor Arcana cards, which speak to the everyday situations, challenges, and choices that shape your daily life.
A reading is not about predicting a fixed future — it is about revealing the energies at play so you can make informed, empowered decisions. Tarot respects your free will. It shows you the currents, but you always choose how to navigate them.

The History of Tarot
A journey spanning over six centuries — from Renaissance Italy to modern spiritual practice.
Origins in the 15th Century
Tarot began in northern Italy around 1440 as a card game called tarocchi, played by noble families. The earliest surviving decks — like the Visconti-Sforza deck, hand-painted with gold leaf — were commissioned by the aristocracy. These decks were not used for divination at all; they were entertainment, status symbols, and objets d'art.
The tarot deck originally contained the same structure we know today: 22 trump cards (the Major Arcana) and 56 suit cards (the Minor Arcana). But for nearly 350 years, tarot was simply a game — no one used it for spiritual guidance.
The Occult Revival — 18th & 19th Centuries
In 1781, French occultist Antoine Court de Gébelin published a groundbreaking claim: tarot was not merely a game, but the surviving wisdom of the Egyptian priestly class — a secret book of ancient knowledge disguised as a deck of cards. While historically inaccurate (tarot predates Egyptian revival interest and originated in Italy), this idea captured the European imagination and transformed tarot forever.
Éliphas Lévi, a French ceremonial magician, connected tarot to the Kabbalah, alchemy, and Hermetic philosophy in the 1850s. He established the framework linking the 22 Major Arcana cards to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet and the paths on the Tree of Life — a correspondence system that remains foundational in many tarot traditions today.
The Rider-Waite-Smith Revolution — 1909
The most significant shift in tarot history came in 1909 with the publication of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Arthur Edward Waite, a scholar of the occult, commissioned artist Pamela Colman Smith to illustrate a radical new deck. For the first time, every single card — including the Minor Arcana — was fully illustrated with rich, symbolic scenes.
Pamela Colman Smith's contribution cannot be overstated. She was a mixed-race artist of Jamaican and British descent, deeply connected to synesthesia, folklore, and theatrical design. Her 78 illustrations transformed tarot from an esoteric object into an accessible tool anyone could read intuitively — and her deck remains the most widely used in the world today.
Tarot in the Modern World
From the counterculture movements of the 1960s to today's widespread spiritual renaissance, tarot has blossomed into a global practice. Contemporary decks number in the thousands — reflecting every culture, identity, and aesthetic. Tarot is now used not only for divination but for therapy, journaling, creative inspiration, shadow work, and personal development. It is a living tradition, continuously evolving while remaining rooted in centuries of wisdom.
Tarot Cards
A fixed system of 78 cards with deeply layered, time-tested archetypes and meanings — the same structure across every traditional tarot deck. Tarot provides consistency: the Major Arcana maps the soul's journey, and the Minor Arcana reflects the texture of daily life with stunning precision.
Oracle Cards
Oracle decks have no fixed structure — each deck is a unique creation by its author, with any number of cards and any theme. Oracle cards tend to be more direct, gentle, and accessible, offering clear messages without the layered complexity of tarot. I often combine both to give you the fullest picture.
When & How Often to Get a Reading
Tarot is powerful medicine — and like all medicine, it should be taken with intention and respect.
When to Get a Reading
A tarot reading is especially powerful during moments of transition, uncertainty, or inner questioning. The best times to seek a reading include:
How Often Is Right for You
A good guideline is once per season — roughly every three months. This gives the guidance from each reading time to unfold, integrate, and manifest in your life. Getting a reading too frequently, especially on the same question, creates confusion rather than clarity.
The cards are a conversation with Spirit, not a compulsion. If you find yourself desperately wanting a reading every week, pause and ask yourself: am I seeking guidance, or am I seeking reassurance? Real guidance empowers you to trust yourself — not to become dependent on an external source. A good reader will tell you when it is time to sit with what you have received rather than pulling more cards.
Spiritual Contamination & Reader-Hopping
This is one of the most important — and least discussed — truths in the spiritual community.
Every tarot reader is an energetic channel. When you sit for a reading, you are not just hearing words — you are entering into an energetic exchange. The reader connects to your energy field, your guides, and the collective wisdom that surrounds you. This is a sacred and intimate act.
What Happens When You Go to Too Many Readers
Going to multiple readers in quick succession — especially asking the same question of different readers — creates what I call spiritual contamination. Here's why:
Conflicting Messages
Every reader interprets energy through their own intuitive lens. Five readers may give you five different angles on the same situation — because they are each picking up on different layers of the energy. This is not clarity; it is confusion. You end up more lost than when you started.
Energetic Overwhelm
Each reading opens your energy field. When you go to reader after reader, your field never has time to close, integrate, and settle. You become energetically porous — picking up fragments of each reader's energy and interpretation, unable to hear your own inner voice over the noise.
Diluted Intuition
The goal of any spiritual practice is to strengthen your connection to your own inner guidance. When you outsource your decisions to reader after reader, you weaken that connection. You teach yourself that truth comes from outside — when in fact, the truest answers live within you.
Reader-Shopping as Avoidance
Many people go to multiple readers because they are shopping for the answer they want to hear — not the truth. If five readers all give you a message you do not want, and you keep searching for one who will tell you what you prefer, you are avoiding the very lesson Spirit is trying to teach you.
Energetic Cords & Attachments
Every reading creates an energetic cord between you and the reader. Most readers clear these cords after a session — but not all do. Accumulating cords from many different readers can leave your energy field tangled, heavy, and confused. You may feel suddenly anxious, drained, or unable to think clearly, with no obvious cause.
How to Approach Readings with Integrity
The healthiest relationship with tarot is one built on trust — both in your reader and in yourself. Here is the guidance I give all my clients:
The tarot is a sacred tool — not a slot machine. Treat your readings with reverence, give the messages time to breathe, and trust that one clear channel is worth more than a hundred scattered voices.

Every reading I offer is a personalized intuitive experience tailored to your unique situation. I begin by connecting with your energy and inviting your guides and the wisdom of the cards to speak clearly. We explore what is present — the energies, challenges, and opportunities that surround you right now.
Depending on your needs, I may use a traditional tarot spread (like the Celtic Cross for deep exploration of a life situation), a simpler three-card spread (past-present-future or situation-obstacle-advice), or oracle cards for more direct, accessible guidance. Often, I blend both — tarot for depth and structure, oracle for heart-centered messages.
You are always welcome to ask specific questions — about love, career, family, purpose, or anything on your heart. I will never judge your questions, and I will always tell you the truth, delivered with compassion.
